Abigail Lee, Broker and Owner of Lee Realty, was born and raised in Mason City—and is proudly locally grown. She earned her degree in Elementary Education from Iowa State University before beginning her career as a teacher in Houston, Texas. While she valued that experience, home was always calling, and Abigail returned to Mason City to put down roots, start her family, and invest in the community she loves.
Abigail and her husband, John—also a lifelong Mason City resident—share a deep commitment to their hometown. John is a graduate of Newman Catholic High School and the University of Northern Iowa and currently serves the community as a teacher in the local school district. He has coached numerous youth sports teams, served on the Mason City City Council for 14 years, and is now the current Mayor of Mason City.
After returning home and starting her family, Abigail obtained her real estate license and has now been helping clients buy and sell property for more than two decades. Real estate has proven to be the perfect fit, combining her love of people, creativity, and proudly showcasing North Iowa to both longtime residents and newcomers alike.
Abigail is deeply involved in the Mason City community. Her leadership, service, and volunteer efforts include the Main Street Mason City Board, North Iowa Figure Skating Board, Visit Mason City Board, Citizens for the Mason City Public Library, and numerous community organizations and events. She has been recognized as a Globe Gazette 30 Under 40, Jaycees Outstanding Young North Iowan, and Chamber Ambassador of the Year. Abigail has also coached multiple youth sports teams and volunteers with organizations such as Meals on Wheels, the MacNider Art Museum, Earth Day initiatives, United Way, the North Iowa Band Festival, Salvation Army, and the Community Kitchen, among many others.
Most recently, the Lee family purchased 1908, a historic downtown Mason City building that is currently being thoughtfully renovated and preserved. Giving back to the community and involving her family in meaningful projects is one of Abigail’s greatest priorities, and she especially enjoys giving community tours to prospective residents and newcomers.
Abigail is licensed in the state of Iowa and assists clients with residential, commercial, farm, and investment properties across Mason City, North Iowa, and throughout the entire beautiful state of Iowa.
